OK, so I know I don't really get on dA very much anymore, and when I do I don't really do much.

But I just wanted to say that I am tired of all the crap that the media is talking about Michael Jackson even more than six weeks after his death. He's dead, people! You can all stop fabricating outrageous stories for your own benefit.

Ever since he died, Michael's music is pretty much all I've been listening to. I've always respected and liked his music, but I was one of those people who judged him wrongly without knowing him. I did think that more recently, he got "weird". I bought into everything the media fed people: that he wanted to be white, that he had odd relationships with children. Of course, my young age was partially responsible for my ignorance.

Now I realize just how beautiful a person Michael Jackson was. He was a humanitarian, a father, a legend, and an all-around beautiful man.

If he were still alive, I'd want to give him a really big hug and tell him that everything would be all right, and that people love him despite the rumors. Of course, I'd probably be speechless or crying hysterically if I had been able to meet him, but still. The emotion would still be there.
